That’s My King

The other day I was commuting and a song I have come to love played through the speakers of my suv. It was a song I’ve heard countless times but it hit me in a new and refreshing way and immediately I knew I needed to share it.

In todays culture, as Christians, it is easy to be bashful about our faith. It becomes easy to allow our faith to be a quiet undertone of our lives and not the bold proclamation that it deserves to be. The lyrics of “That’s My King” by CeCe Winans puts our faith back in its rightful place. Cece is proud to shout with joy that He is her King!

The lyrics:

I wish I could tell you

Wish I could describe it

But I can't contain it, can't keep it to myself

There aren't enough colors

To paint the whole picture

Not enough words to ever say what I found

Wonderful and beautiful

And glorious and holy

He is merciful and powerful

Who we talkin' about?

That's my king

We declare the glory

Give him all the honor

Altogether worthy

Who we talkin' about?

That's my king

There's no one before you

Yes, we will adore you

All of this is for you

Who we talkin' about?

That's my king

Jesus, you're my king

So I challenge you as well as myself today to remember to proudly proclaim that HE is YOUR King. It’s time to be loud and proud that He is our King. It’s time to share the most important news in all the world in every way we can!

We ask for your continued prayers over our pregnancy journey and my upcoming trip to Zimbabwe. I have been busy prepping for this incredible opportunity and I can’t wait to make it known to the teens of Zimbabwe that HE IS MY KING and He can be their King as well!
